Why apply through Creative Access?
This is the place to start if you want to build a long-lasting career in the creative industry.
Creative Access believes that the creative industries are better with more people like you in it. We work with people from under-represented backgrounds because our mission is to make the creative industries reflect our society. That’s why we will help you get your foot in the door and support you throughout your creative career.
How can Creative Access help me?
We work with hundreds of employer partners to make sure they are offering you the best opportunities. Creative Access will support you from the moment you start looking for a role, and will help you connect with a phenomenal community of like-minded, ambitious and talented people.
The Creative Access journey can be split into four parts:
- CV Consultations– You can sign up for a CV Consultation with us in order to get your CV and covering letter in pristine shape. Hosted by a member of our recruitment team, these are held once a month and advertised via our opportunities page.
- Application Assistance – If you are shortlisted for one of our Recruiting Roles (i.e. roles advertised on the opportunities page, where your application comes directly to Creative Access, as opposed to taking you directly to the employer), we will provide you with interview advice and support to ensure you have the best chance at securing a role.
- Entry Level Support Programme – Once you successfully secure an internship or entry-level role via Creative Access, you will join our Entry Level Support Programme. Training begins with an induction day, where you’ll meet other candidates also embarking on their creative journeys, develop soft skills and get a taster of our monthly masterclasses, which take place monthly at some of the UK’s leading creative organisations, from Facebook to Channel 4. These are a fantastic way to network and are compulsory for all new starters. You will also be allocated a Creative Access buddy to support you as you navigate the workplace. What’s more, you’ll also get access to other peer networks and invitations to exclusive theatre shows and other events. You can read more about the programme here.
- Development Programme – On completion of your internship (or after a year in a permanent role), you will automatically graduate onto our Development Programme. The programme consists of mentoring, networking, and training for emerging leaders. You can read more about this programme here.

Please note – we use the term ‘intern’ and ‘trainee’ interchangeably.

Testimonials
“I am very grateful to have met you at the Creative Access event and receive great interview tips for my Hachette interview...Thank you very much for the advice that you gave because it certainly boosted my confidence and motivated me. This opportunity would not have been possible for me without the genuine support from you and your team.”
Natalie Ohene-Gyateng

Jessica Nazaire
PR intern, Stand Agency“A while ago I was feeling like I’d hit a dead end and couldn’t see any way into serious work in publishing, especially given what I thought about my background. Now I can hardly believe the books I’ve had the fortune of working on, or the people I’ve had the opportunity to speak to. Thank you so much for making it possible for all of us Creative Access interns here at Hachette.”
