Online open workshops
Join other like-minded individuals for an open workshop, led by our senior training team of clinical psychologists and diversity experts. We cap attendance at 15 attendees to allow all participants enough time to ask questions and interact.
All workshops will provide a safe space in which to raise questions and practice responses and a supportive environment for learning, reflection and relaxed conversation. All sessions take place via zoom and are not recorded. Post-training resources are circulated to participants.

Inclusive line management
This workshop runs regularly every two months.
Next two dates: Tuesday 25th February 2025, 14.30 – 16.00pm and Tuesday 29th April, 11am – 12.30pm
Led by a D&I specialist, this session is for new and existing line managers of early-career professionals from communities that are under-represented in the sector. We’ll look at:
- Best practice in line management; supporting underrepresented early career professionals
- The life cycle of the CA Springboard entry support programme; from induction to approaching the end of the traineeship, preparing for next steps
- The expectations of your working relationship
- Understanding intersectional identities and power imbalances
- What are the stumbling blocks, and how to overcome them
- Support with next steps, approaching the end of their contract

The neuro-inclusive workplace: Scenario based training
Tuesday 18th March 2025, 10.30am – 12pm
An interactive and informative workshop covering various workplace situations based on commonly occurring realistic scenarios. Helping you, as professionals in the creative industries, to make judgement calls that are neuro-inclusive – shedding light on how to support neurodivergent team members, as well as the team as a whole.
- This 90-min online workshop will cover a number of workplace scenarios related to neurodiversity
- You’ll have the opportunity to discuss as a group with advice from the session facilitator
- Scenarios will address; how different ways of processing information can impact delegation of work, dilemmas related to hybrid working, and stigmatisation of neurodiversity at work
You’ll be encouraged to consider the different approaches available, think how this might be applied in the context of your own working environment, and hear from others working across the creative industries. The workshop will be held under Chatham House Rules, so all attendees can share ideas and best practice in a safe, interactive and reflective environment.

Inclusive recruitment
Wednesday 30th April 2025, 3pm – 4.30pm
Join us for this open workshop focusing on inclusive recruitment. Hosted by Creative Access, this 90-min Zoom session will give an introductory overview of general best practice in recruitment, with a specific lens on diversity and inclusion.
Led by expert recruitment consultant Sarah Bonner, we’ll take a look at:
- The legal framework and protected characteristics
- Inclusive language and its impact on writing job adverts, recruitment and selection
- Having a competency-based framework for interviews
- Making recruitment skills and evidence-based, and using competency based questions
This workshop is capped at 15 attendees to ensure plenty of time for questions and discussion – we encourage you to come with any recruitment dilemmas you want guidance and support with.

Building resilience
Tuesday 13th May 2025, 10.30am – 12pm
Led by a consultant clinical psychologist, this 90-min workshop aims to provide tools on managing our wellbeing in the workplace. We’ll look at:
- Recognising and managing stress and creating work-life balance
- What do we mean by work-life balance? how does this look within your organisation?
- Exploring what happens when we feel ‘imbalance’ and what may contribute to this
- Connecting with ‘hidden’ or ‘unspoken’ stories and experiences of staff
- Managing personal and professional boundaries; drawing on principles of empathy and compassion to create balance at home and work
- Creating a language for emotional literacy and focusing on self-care
- Drawing on inner strengths and resources as individuals and as part of a team
- ‘Rupture and repair’; using mistakes and feedback as opportunities for growth
