Some of their shows include the global smash hit Gangs of London, the critically acclaimed I Hate Suzie, fan favourites like Brassic, and one-off specials like Roald & Beatrix. 

Sky Studios is thrilled to offer two people a 12-month programme, in which you will experience two six-month placements in each department as a Virtual Production Assistant and Operations Assistant. This exciting opportunity, based in Osterley, will enable you to find out what it really takes to make a TV show!

What you will learn

Virtual Production Assistant

  • Support Virtual Production teams during production and filming stages
  • CG asset creation and animation for Game Engine
  • Design and preparation of content for Live Rendering
  • Work with processor networking and management
  • Work with camera management and tracking systems
  • Film Digital asset management from set to post-production

Operations Assistant

  • Support the Content Traffic workflow from receipt to delivery to Sky Channels/GMO/NCBU
  • Support the onboarding of internal production, third party producers to NBCU’s content teams
  • Work closely with the Admin Exec to ensure seamless communication to Sky Studios Commercial and legal teams
  • Support wider Sky Studios and Finance operations across corporate systems and processes

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • A passion for production of scripted drama content and about the Virtual Production landscape
  • General understanding of VFX, Virtual Production, Gaming and Studio Production
  • Solid understanding of VFX workflow and Virtual Production pipelines
  • Familiarity with production and post software, such as Microsoft Teams, Asana, Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop
  • A passion for media and project management
  • An interest in Sky titles
