Trainee Researcher, Topical & Live

This is a brilliant and unique opportunity for a trainee to gain experience within BBC Studios London bases. This role is a joint placement, split between the Topical and Live and Science areas.

The Topical & Live team at BBC Studios delivers over 200 hours of factual content every year including big-hitting consumer and topical series like The One Show, Watchdog and World’s Busiest Cities.

The Science Unit at BBC studios makes world-class content ranging from Forces of Nature with Brian Cox to Stargazing Live to Horizon and beyond.

By spending time within BBC Studios, the trainee would get excellent grounding and first-hand experience of working as a trainee television researcher. The successful candidate would get a broad experience in the industry, benefiting from working across these two exciting areas. The placement would depend on what is in production at the time but the trainee is likely to gain unique experience working across programmes for the BBC as well as well as other broadcasters. This opportunity could truly benefit someone who has keen journalistic instincts and a clear passion for the television industry.
