The British Forces broadcaster is looking for a talented Radio Presenter to join their brilliant BFBS Radio team in the South Atlantic. The position involves you living and working within the military community at Mount Pleasant Camp.

Every day, they want you to create fun, entertaining and relevant programmes within their 70% music, 30% speech format, dedicated to the local British military community in this remote and beautiful part of the world.

  • Presentation and production of BFBS Radio sequence programmes and other audio and digital content
  • Creating fun, entertaining and relevant programmes
  • Presenting and producing sequence programmes
  • Identifying and providing content for sequence programmes and, where appropriate, news
  • Conducting interviews
  • Producing speech/audio features (including packages, reports, interviews and documentaries)
  • Active use of digital and social media platforms
  • Conducting radio station administration duties where required
  • Attending events, OBs and being an ambassador for BFBS Radio


  • At least two years’ current or recent experience in presenting a daily live radio show
  • Ability to research, record and edit interviews and speech content
  • Excellent radio presentation, production, editing, interviewing and writing skills
  • Good broadcasting voice
  • Ability to identify and produce the most suitable content for identified British Forces audiences
  • Ability to collaborate within creative environments
  • Knowledge of Adobe Audition and other editing, play-out and scheduling software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of the use of social media and other digital initiatives within the broadcast environment
  • Recent sequence presentation experience in a live ‘self-op’ environment
  • Production & multi-track editing skills, including features, packages & reports
  • Good research and interviewing skills
