Their work spans across the entire publishing supply chain, from book launches and literary prizes, to advising national governments on market access to the publishing industry. This is an organisation that is passionate about their work and keen to go that extra mile for their clients to deliver results.

Midas PR are looking for an intern to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will learn how to build and run a PR campaign from start to finish. They will have a passion for culture and the arts. There will also be the opportunity to attend a number of events ranging across publishing trade events, author launches, award ceremonies and festivals.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN 

  • PR strategy and planning
  • Writing effective and convincing copy for press releases and email pitches
  • Building media lists, running PR software, and conducting social media posts
  • Day to day liaison with arts journalists, securing coverage
  • Project management and creative brainstorming
  • Attending journalist meetings
  • Setting up publicity schedules, interviews, book signings and author events
  • Managing own responsibilities on allocated accounts, such as running a regional, digital or magazine campaign for assigned accounts
  • Working independently to achieve results, as well as working to supporting the teams you are working with

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

  • Interest in the books, culture and the wider arts is essential
  • Previous office experience in PR or journalism is preferred
