The award-winning Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre is a London landmark – a firm fixture of summer in the city, providing a cultural hub in the beautiful surroundings of a Royal Park. The theatre is celebrated for its bold and dynamic productions (The Turn of the Screw, Little Shop of Horrors, The Seagull, Porgy and Bess, The Crucible, Henry V), with audiences of over 140,000 each year during its 18-week season.

They are looking for a Marketing & Partnerships Officer to join their team. This role sits within the Commercial Department, which also incorporates Sales and Visitor Services. The ideal candidate will support the Head of Partnerships in developing the theatre’s Membership Schemes, Patrons’ Scheme, and Corporate Partners to meet the annual income targets. You will also support the Senior Marketing Officer in delivering the theatre’s marketing campaign and will have responsibility for co-ordinating Press Night invitations, acceptances and ticketing Press Night events. You will be responsible for ensuring that partnership events are set up to the highest standards and, although you will not be required to be present for the duration of all partnership events, you will meet the operational needs of your role outside of your office working hours, including an on-the-floor presence at events when required. It is essential for the individual to be highly organised, responsive, self-motivated, and able to communicate with people at all levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working in conjunction with the Head of Partnerships, and in liaison with the Visitor Services and Catering teams, prepare paperwork, set up and attend partnership events, including those pertaining to Corporate Partners, Sponsors, Media Partners, Members and Patrons, as well as cultivation events. Although you will not be required to be present for the duration of all Corporate Partner events, you will meet the operational needs of your role outside of your office working hours, including an on-the-floor presence at events when required or, as a minimum, effect a smooth handover to the Catering Team
  • Support the Head of Partnerships in delivering benefits to all Partners, Members and Patrons
  • Co-ordinate Press Night invitations, acceptances and the ticketing of Press Night events
  • Take responsibility for managing and developing the BREEZE scheme
  • Support the Senior Marketing Officer in delivering the theatre’s marketing campaign, including the social media strategy, website content management (including the digital archive) and e-marketing, fully utilising the CRM capabilities of the box office system (currently Spektrix)
  • Using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop, create artwork for print and online marketing, as well as supporting the design requirements of others in the organisation
  • Support and assist others in the Commercial Department as and when required
  • To represent the company with diplomacy, discretion and courtesy at all times
  • To maintain and safeguard all documentation, records, filing systems and databases required to ensure compliance with all internal policies, data protection, financial and other regulations including Gift Aid
  • To help facilitate and promote a good working relationship with other key departments

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • A keen interest and desire to build a career within an arts management environment
  • A positive attitude with excellent self-motivation and ability to work on your own initiative whilst working effectively within a team
  • Organised, calm and tactful approach with the ability to work flexibly under pressure, to prioritise and to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and the highest standards of presentation
  • Excellent written and spoken English with a strong ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, both internally and externally, in a confident and friendly manner
  • Good computer literacy including Microsoft Word and Excel, and a working understanding of social media

Desirable

  • Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and video editing
