Junior Digital Campaigner

Forward Action is a digital movement building agency for progressive causes. They work with clients from campaign conception through to results, creating strategies, content and tools to get the job done. Their clients are some of the most exciting and impactful organisations in campaigning, including Greenpeace, The Labour Party, Centrepoint, WaterAid, and SumOfUs.

They are currently looking for a Junior Digital Campaigner to join their fast-moving team. You will be the heart of their creative work, drafting copy and executing email and digital advertising campaigns to help their progressive clients hit their goals.   • Draft copy for emails, Facebook ads, action pages, and the engagement tools Forward Action is well known for (like this one)
  • Build emails, set up Facebook adverts, and build surveys and prototypes of engagement tools in Typeform
  • Generate ideas for new tactics that help our clients hit their goals
  • Contribute to projects from conception through to build, and liaise with clients via email, Trello and video calls
  • Attend brainstorming and planning meetings with clients
  • Plan the layout and user experience of microsites and create wireframes

  • Good organisation and attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm for using the internet to help build a fairer, more progressive world
  • Fluency in spoken and written English

Abilities and experience that are nice to have

They know it’s not possible for any applicants to have all these skills – it’s likely you’ll be able to bring two or three of the following to their team:

  • Experience working in the charity sector or at an agency
  • Drafting and building marketing emails, especially for fundraising and campaigning
  • Experience planning marketing email campaigns
  • Experience of working towards measurable goals as part of a team
  • Drafting content for social media
  • Drafting and setting up Facebook adverts
  • Basic HTML skills
  • Experience writing content for publication (e.g. on for a blog, website or email newsletter)

  • Three examples of your writing, ideally from digital media – e.g. emails/social media posts for any campaigns you’ve been involved in (but no problem if you haven’t been involved in any), blogs, or articles. Please don’t send any examples of academic work though!
