Head of Marketing

Creative Access is recruiting! We have a brilliant role for a dynamic individual to join our energetic and devoted team to manage the marketing of Creative Access

Creative Access supports young people from under-represented backgrounds into employment; to access creative careers and secure both jobs and paid training opportunities in creative companies. We provide a range of services to companies, from recruitment to employer training and consultancy. A not-for-profit social enterprise, Creative Access works with over 300 creative companies including ITV, Pan Macmillan, the National Theatre, Apple, Tate and Hachette. We have placed over 1,200 young people in paid 3 – 12 month internships and have provided employability support to more than 25,000 young people. 

We are looking for a creative individual to drive the marketing of Creative Access. This vital role involves leading all areas of the organisation’s marketing from social media, to events, printed materials and the website. This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of the Creative Access team and would suit an experienced marketeer who is passionate about making change and inspiring young people.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise the marketing of job and internship opportunities, and our training and events, across all social media channels and with other stakeholder groups
  • Weekly planning and implementation across all social media platforms
  • Oversee the website, including blogs, news and events
  • Working to actively grow and develop all of Creative Access’s social media channels
  • Coordinate newsletters for candidates, partners organisations and employer partners
  • Ensure brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing activity
  • Identify opportunities to target new audiences and increase total reach
  • Promoting the work of Creative Access and our interns and alumni
  • Creating posters and presentations
  • Identify thought leadership opportunities via press coverage and speaking slots
  • Attending events at Universities, Colleges and partner organisations to represent Creative Access
  • Support business development and attending meetings if required
  • Awards submission
  • Manage and coordinate media relations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a marketing role essential
  • Experience of developing and delivering marketing strategies
  • A strong understanding of best practice in marketing, PR and communications
  • An interest in diversity issues and the creative sector
  • An appetite for learning on the job and developing your skills set towards the needs of the organisation
  • Using market insight and analysis to target key audiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams and independently
  • Hardworking, detail orientated and a team player
  • Knowledge of Canva, WordPress, Mailchimp, Google AdWords and Hootsuite preferred
