Doc Society are a non-profit founded in 2005 committed to enabling great documentary films and connecting them to audiences globally. Based in London and New York, they work with filmmakers and partners all over the world. They bring people together to unleash the transformational power of documentary film. They stand in solidarity with filmmakers and work to unite them with new friends and allies, building new models globally. They aim to innovate, share and innovate again.

Doc Society are looking for a Global Programme Coordinator to join the Good Pitch programme. In 2020, this includes collaboration with organisations and communities based in Mexico, Brazil, Kenya, the Arab region, Canada and India, amongst others.


External Programme Support

  • Maintain regular contact with our Good Pitch global partners
  • Maintain the organisation of all Good Pitch resources on Dropbox and Google Drive, ensuring that hosts have the most relevant materials
  • Help maintain website and update local programme information
  • Prepare contracts for external consultants and partnership agreements with local hosts (based on established templates)
  • Manage external communications on social media and in newsletter
  • Act as the first port of call for enquiries relating to local management

Internal Good Pitch Team Support

  • Manage calendars and meeting requests for Good Pitch global team
  • Maintain and build out online to-do lists and timelines as needed
  • Collate bi-weekly agenda for meetings
  • Collate Good Pitch updates for monthly Doc Society newsletters
  • Set-up, coordinate, and communicate for multi-person conference calls
  • Arrange flights, accommodation and travel stipends where required
  • Review and process invoices from Good Pitch consultants
  • Draft email correspondence, talking points and standard presentation templates on behalf of the leadership team and prepare for review
  • Monitor internal expenditure on the Good Pitch Global programme, draft and update budgets and liaise closely with the finance team


  • Minimum three years administrative and/or programme support experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (including written and verbal) with an ability to manage a high volume of daily phone and digital communications
  • Exceptional ability to schedule meetings and activities with individuals and groups with complex calendars across multiple time-zones
  • Team player committed to radical collaboration and success
  • Self-starter, comfortable working independently
  • Very strong attention to detail & skilled at prioritisation
  • Excellent knowledge and use of the internet, email, and applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dropbox, G-Suite
  • Confidence in managing database systems
  • Experience in website/online editing is a bonus
