Bristol Music Trust is an eminent independent music venture that promotes music and music making in Bristol. Launched in 2011, they are behind developing a diverse musical programme for Bristol’s largest concert venue, Colston Hall. Their aim is to drive forward music across Bristol by leading on musical education, supporting local musicians and promoting music across all communities to build on the city’s vibrant talent. They want Bristol music scene to stand out with its own unique culture and internationally renowned reputation.

Bristol Music Trust are now looking for a financial professional to join their busy Finance Team. The role has an Accounts Payable focus and involves working with departments across the organisation. This is a time of major change for the Trust and an exciting time to join.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide high quality financial support
  • Conduct range of financial administrative duties including day to day processes, financial reporting and data analysis
  • Process purchase invoices in a timely manner
  • Resolve supplier payment queries in a timely manner
  • Monitor travel and staff expenses and assist staff with bookings and claims
  • Handle cash and expenses as well as travel and staff expenses
  • Assist the Financial Controller with management reporting and business analysis

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

  • IT literate with strong MS Excel knowledge
  • Good written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Adept at problem solving with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Sound knowledge of account processes
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Flexible team player who is also able to work on their own initiative
  • Able to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
