Content Administrator

Audible, an Amazon company, is the world’s largest seller and producer of spoken audio entertainment, information and educational programming. For years, Audible has been best known for delivering their customers the world’s best selection of beautifully narrated audiobooks. They are now taking that same passion and energy to deliver an unmatched spoken word content offering including original drama, comedy, storytelling, periodicals, plays, lectures and more.

They are looking for a Content Administrator to join their Business Affairs team (FTC 12 months). As a member of this team, you will play a support role in the initial phase of Audible’s audiobook creation process, fostering good working relationships with internal and external partners, providing support for operational catalogue activities, and assisting in data entry and maintenance within the Contract Information Database (CID).

The ideal candidate should be an avid consumer of media with an interest in books with the ability to thrive in a high-energy entrepreneurial environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Powerpoint presentation creation for internal and external use
  • Basic deal memos after title selection
  • Author care support
  • Invoice tracking
  • Data entry into contract database system
  • Contract filing in conjunction with legal
  • Pulling comparison titles for title acquisition, supporting the team in sourcing new content for Audible Studios and Originals opportunities – reading/considering submissions
  • Deal tracker maintenance
  • Liaising with production to track productions and timelines

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

  • Love of spoken-word content
  • Working knowledge of database concepts and best practices
  • B.A. or equivalent degree preferred
  • Functional fluency in Outlook, Excel, MS Word and Power Point
  • Data entry experience, demonstrated high level of accuracy
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking and problem solving skills in a fast-paced time sensitive environment
  • Confident and upbeat written and verbal communicator, able to communicate and work with a wide variety of people
  • Demonstrates focused attention to detail
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Experience in/from a multi-media organisation
  • A self-starter with impeccable organisational and analytical skills
