Reporting on the issues that matter to financial and business professionals, Bloomberg will be there first, delivering the world’s most accurate information in milliseconds, on virtually every stock, bond and economic indicator.

They are giving undergraduates and graduates the opportunity to join their fast-moving newsroom as a News Intern in Summer 2019. In this brilliant paid internship, you will have the opportunity to gain hands on reporting experience. From graphics to TV, to written articles on the Bloomberg Terminal, you will have the chance to collaborate across platforms to deliver critical information to their clients.

They are looking for candidates who are passionate about telling stories in a variety of forms and will relish the opportunity to go above and beyond and take risks. If you can bring a flow of ideas, energy and innovation, then they would love to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reporting on markets, companies, economies, and governments
  • Conducting exclusive interviews
  • Opportunity to pitch and write enterprise stories
  • Collaborating with their other media platforms – they operate as one newsroom – a cross platform and collaborative environment where print, digital, and broadcast come together to produce the most accurate content for their clients

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience and/or demonstrated interest in journalism through work experience or extracurricular activities
  • Fluency in a foreign language is a plus, but not required
  • A passion for global financial markets, companies and economies
  • True curiosity in understanding the world around you
  • Not put off by digging into complex subjects
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to break news
  • Ability to get access, win exclusive interviews, find documents/data
  • Ability to write

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum two years of undergraduate study completed
  • Availability to work for 10 weeks, 45 hours per week, beginning 1st July 2019
