Assistant Company Manager

Opera North is the national opera company for the north of England based in Leeds. The Company is committed to producing high quality work that informs, excites and entertains.

They are seeking a bright Assistant Company Manager who has professional experience of working in arts administration or stage management. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and practical support to the Company Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General involvement in Company scheduling processes including preparation of weekly call sheet and its production and distribution
  • Assisting with artists’ travel and accommodation
  • Administration of actors and dancers employed for Opera North performances and projects
  • Alongside the Youth Company, Pastoral Co-ordinator make scheduling arrangements for children taking part in mainstage productions
  • Assistance with the provision of rehearsal venues
  • Assist Company Manager looking after the welfare of Guest Artists and all that it entails
  • Oversee ON Digs list

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Professional experience of working in arts administration/ stage management
  • A demonstrable interest in the arts
  • Working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Computer literate, particularly Microsoft Office
  • Can work well in a team
  • Great organisation, prioritisation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A positive and willing attitude

Desirable

  • Current Driving Licence
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
