Known for representing global bestselling authors such as Gail Honeyman (Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine) and Holly Bourne (The Places I’ve Cried in Public), the agency has ties with publishers around the world, and works directly or in partnership with film agents in London and LA to option Film & TV rights to leading production companies and film studios.

The Madeleine Milburn Agency are looking for an Office Assistant to join their thriving team. The ideal candidate will support in tasks from every aspect of agency life, from submissions to editing to post. You will also be responsible for welcoming visitors at the reception and keeping the office well-supplied. This is a brilliant first step for an organised book-lover to get vital office experience within a prestigious organisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answering the phone
  • Greeting visitors
  • Opening and sending post
  • Checking the info account
  • Processing royalties
  • Chasing payments
  • General office upkeep
  • Ordering supplies for the office (food/stationary)
  • Scanning/filing
  • Author publication presents
  • Adding reviews to review sheets
  • Taking minutes for meetings
  • Updating the website
