Digital Internship, Second World War and Holocaust Partnership Programme
Have you always wanted the opportunity to work in the museums and heritage sector? Are you interested in digital technologies? Explore a unique internship opportunity below...
Manchester Jewish Museum and Imperial War Museums are recruiting for a Digital Intern as part of Manchester Jewish Museum’s role as part of the Second World War & Holocaust Partnership Programme (SWWHPP).
This role is aimed at people with an interest and experience in digital technologies who have not previously worked in the museums and heritage sector. You will explore and support how museums can engage people with themes around the Second World War and the Holocaust using digital technologies.
You will be supporting the museum’s Holocaust Memorial Day project, culminating in a performative event in January 2023. You will also be working with the Marketing & Communications Manager to find creative ways to share and celebrate the museum’s collections online, and embed a digital-first, content creation culture across the museum’s team.
We are particularly looking for people with experience in content creation for social media (such as Instagram, YouTube and Tiktok).
You will receive training opportunities and a job plan for your placement.
The museum will be holding a Zoom drop-in session where you can find out more about the project, the museum, and the role on Wednesday 24th November, 2.30pm - 3.30pm. Enter your details below to find out more.
We welcome and encourage applications from candidates who are under-represented in the creative industries.
