Marketing Strategy Intern

Clear is a global growth consultancy, specializing in brand, experience and innovation. Part of the M&C Saatchi group, Clear is a growing business with a diverse and highly experienced team with backgrounds in management consulting, client-side marketing, brand consultancy, insight, analytics and design. They have an extensive blue-chip client list including Abbott, Lexus, GSK, PepsiCo, Nestle, Disney and many more.

Clear is looking for an Intern who is keen to enter the consulting / marketing industry to join them for a 6-month programme. During the scheme, you will learn by doing. They will provide real project experience, mentorship, access to internal training and exposure to a breadth of project, client and capability areas. On a given day, you might expect to listen in on a client debrief, take notes in an interview, coordinate catering for a big meeting, edit an important deliverable or attend team brainstorming sessions. The ideal candidate will bring energy, fresh perspectives and new thinking – they expect interns to come ready to constructively challenge them, share new ideas and help Clear improve their work.

What You'll Learn

Desk Research

  • Conducting competitor and category analyses based on creative material and websites
  • Identifying and writing case studies relevant to Clear's projects
  • Research into current trends and best practice brand examples

Data & research support

  • Supporting the Consultants with research (qualitative and/or quantitative) logistics and fieldwork management
  • Analysis and interpretation of research (qualitative and/or quantitative)
  • Liaising with Clear's research providers on a daily basis
  • Sourcing and supporting recruitment for expert interviews

Creative Support

  • Searching for brands and images and creating visually impactful presentations
  • Preparation of visually engaging materials and stimulus for workshops (invitations, posters, templates and workshop booklets)
  • Finding workshop venues and sourcing experts or creative consumers for attendance at workshops
  • Supporting the team to ensure the smooth running of workshops on and off site

Logistical support

  • Supporting the office and team with ad hoc day to day support as needed

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • Desire to work in a marketing/market research/consulting environment
  • Excellent organisation skills, with ability to prioritise, multitask and manage your workload effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team player with a collaborative approach and uses initiative
  • Good problem solver, resourceful and strong initiative skills
  • Great creative flair, with strong visual design skills to support the team
  • Excellent grasp of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint knowledge
  • An active interest in Market Research/Brand Strategy/Consulting
