Creative Executive

STUDIOCANAL is looking for a Creative Executive to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to provide creative support for leading production executives in the industry. The successful candidate will be passionate about film and television with proven commercial taste. 


Creative support for international production execs on film and TV slate

  • Provide creative support to international production execs on projects in development and possible projects for production
  • Manage research projects on specific slate projects on an ad hoc basis
  • Help create pitch selling documents from time to time on International Production projects approaching greenlight
  • Take on specific responsibilities within the team in helping drive a slate of development projects with US studio aimed at creating multiplex low budget horror for an international audience out of Europe

Running point on IP for international production from the UK 

  • Assist in managing the company's film library with regard to exploring remake opportunities for adaptation
  • Assist in running internal IP project – regularly liaise with other depts and international territories within the SC group for ideas for adaptation
  • Assist in managing relationship with company book scout on behalf of International Production in UK - for books, book sales for adaptation
  • Assist in managing a network of journalists/researchers for ideas for adaptation
  • Assist in managing internal tracking for: UK stage, current affairs, and other sources for adaptation
  • Collate research from time to time – book sales, box office figures, national trends to aid research into projects

Tracking emerging UK/international filmmakers for international production 

  • Scout, track and deliver new emerging talent relationships to the department (screenwriters, playwrights, shorts/promo filmmakers, stage directors, directors crossing over from TV to film and vice versa) coming out of the UK and Europe
  • Network with other junior execs / junior agents working within the UK industry to stay abreast of upcoming projects and talent
  • Attend Edinburgh Film Festival and LFF and other UK industry events on International Production behalf


  • Proven commercial taste
  • Excellent script interpretation and notes
  • Work experience ideally gained within an Agent, Production or Film Company
  • Passion for Film and TV
