Sky Sports are on the hunt for two self-motivated and passionate individuals for 12 months to join their team for an exciting placement. You will get the chance to rotate between two departments for 6 months each. You will undertake a Digital Video Junior Assistant Producer role as well as a Junior Assistant Producer role. Based at their award-winning Osterley campus you will be supported by passionate colleagues along the way and have access to a range of exclusive learning tools from workshops to digital courses.

What you will learn

Digital Video Junior Assistant Producer

  • Learn how Sky Sports produce digital sport video – from planning, through production to publishing and how they tailor the video for each platform
  • Shadow their team of video producers to learn how to cut the best sporting action for one of the country’s leading sports apps and website
  • Eventually find, research and make your own content for Sky Sports platforms, drawing on your first-year learnings with Sky Sport

Junior Assistant Producer

  • Experience self-shooting and desk top editing
  • Learn how they produce live sport, where you need to work effectively under pressure, reacting quickly to meet tight deadlines in live environments
  • Learn how to create content for all Sky Sport’s platforms

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • Be a graduate of any discipline or a third-year university student
  • A passion for sport and media content
  • A quick learner and a team player
  • Confident communicator with an ability to form great relationships with clients
  • For the Digital Video Junior Assistant & Junior Assistant Producer role, strong writing & creativity ability is desirable
  • For the Trainee Reporter & Journalist position the team are looking for an original thinker with a passion for journalism
