Masterclasses and Training
A core benefit of the Creative Access internship programme is the comprehensive training you’ll receive. The most important element of this training is the workplace learning that the company at which you are interning will provide. However, an additional element is the training programme coordinated by the Creative Access team.
This training kicks off with an induction day, where you’ll meet other new interns also embarking on their internship journey, develop soft skills and get a taster of our masterclasses.
In addition to this, you’ll attend monthly evening masterclasses, hosted by some of the UK’s most prestigious organisations. These events provide invaluable insights into a variety of sectors in the creative industries and are great opportunities for learning and networking.
Previous masterclasses have included, an insight into TV production and commissioning hosted by ITV studios, Politics and the media hosted at the House of Commons and a Q & A with Malorie Blackman OBE hosted by The Wellcome Trust.
Attendance is compulsory for all interns and optional for those who have finished their internship.
Here is a short clip from our masterclass at ITN:
"Thank you again for the induction day - it was probably one of the only training days I have been to that I have truly enjoyed, felt comfortable in and felt I really benefitted from."
Samia GundkaliAdministrative Intern, Society of Authors
"I just wanted to properly say thank you for the induction... The day was hugely helpful to me and I know I am certainly not alone, but I feel reinvigorated and motivated to absolutely work my best now with a clearer idea of what I'd like from this experience."
